Toyo At II- R they really worth it?

Hey fellas, got my level on the other day and I have a new set of wheels coming this week. Been rackin my brain tryin to pick a tire. Looking for a 295 series wheels r 20's-0 offset. Pretty hooked on the toyo at II's especially since it will be the extreme style. Just having a hard time wrapping my head around spending close to $400 a tire(mount n balance). Some of you out there have them on your rig? R they worth that kinda change? Also been looking at the Atturo Trailblade XT in same size. Bout $600 less for a set but you know how it goes-you get what you pay for. So you know I had 285 nitto terra grapps on old truck and they looked good and handled well, like toyo's look better.(I know the nitto r made by toyo). Not looking for MT's but not opposed to others tire options in an AT. Thanks for you opinions guys.

Had the xtrmeme size on my fx4 (285/65/18) and now have the p rated tires on my ram (275/60/20). Absolutly love both!! Very quiet ride for an aggressive tire. Never rode them completely out so can't speak for longevity. And they perform as they should. Great in the snow. My next set will be AT 2's 285 60 20.

I know i spreadin this thread out but i just got a really good price on some **** cepek fun country-35/12.50. anyone have opinion on that tire? will it fit with my setup. im ok with trimmin plastic

Quality tires are always worthwhile. A friend, who owns a tire store was recently talked into trying the Atturo's by one of his distributers, on his new Silverado. A month later, he still was not able to get a vibration out of one tire. So he swapped the Atturo's with his distributer for another brand and his truck drives smooth as glass. Tires are one of those things that you usually get what you pay for.

I wondered the same thing- i just looked at the atturo xt and while i loved the look and the tread pattern(exactly what i was looking for). i am leery because of the price n how new the tire is to the market. The Search Continues---

When I first started shopping around for tire's.... I was on **** Cepek's too until many people on here chimed in and told me to steer clear of them. They are less expensive for a reason. I went with Toyo Open Country R/T's. Great looking tire, great brand, and great warranty.

I had 34" Toyo ATiis on my Wrangler and put 40k on them before showing wear. They were quiet and looked great. A little harsh because they were E rated. Might put 275/60/20 Toyos on my Ram as they will be P rated and will probably
keep my Cadillac smooth ride.

Well a buddy of mine may have talked me into mickey thompson atz p3's. he has 35's on his ford and before that tire he had the original atz. said good rotation n air pressure he got a lil over 40k n they look real good. plus the shop i wanted to go to can get them n also wants to buy my stockers

Wow, really? Someone needs to go back to English class.

Ok, now that I understand. Toyo A/T 2 are a very good tire. "Are they worth $400" is dependent on what other tires cost. Compared to BFGs at $375 each, yes. Compared to BFGs at $200 each, no. So the only way to answer this is to know how much the other tires are going to cost you.

Also, it has been my experience that you can negotiate on tire prices. Just FYI I case you didn't know or feel comfortable asking.

I get my Toyo OC AT2 Extremes installed tomorrow.
LT285/75R18 on my factory alloy wheels, stock suspension 2014 2500 Mega.
4 tires mounted, balanced with lifetime rotate and rebalance tax and all out the door for $1254.01.
I thought it was a great price.
I'm stoked. Can't wait to get the worn out factory Transforce AT tires gone.
I will post pics after I pick it up.

Stock suspension stock wheels.
No rub at all. Love them so far. Only have about 20 miles on them.
And yes I'm pulling a goat trailer and no I don't care if you want to make fun of me. lol
