TPMS Trailer Tire Sensors

Greetings, My 21 Ram 1500 with Trailer Package came with sensors for the trailer tires. I just took my trailer to a tire place and the tech pointed out that the stems were very long and would extend past the sidewall of the tire. I went from there to a Ram dealer and he said there were no other options either for shorter stems or different sensors. Seems like I have useless sensors. Anyone else here been down this road?

Have'nt seen How long they are, but are you sure someone wasn't trying to sell you an "upgrade" at the tire shop? The length of the stem isn't going to hurt unless it's really excessive... OPINION, Only. I'm not a tire expert.

No attempt to sell an upgrade. The supplied stems would clearly protrude past the sidewall. An accident waiting to happen. Looks like I wont be able to use the feature.

Makes no sense... I thought the stems could be replaced?
