So I noticed now that the weather has gotten cooler that I needed to put more air in the tires..... Normally once you filled them past that threshold of the sensor the light would go off. For some reason this new truck wants it to go all the way to 80psi which I'm hoping it will reset afterwards. Anyone else run into this? 2015 cc 6.4 btw

Every 10* change in ambient air temp will affect the psi by 1.

I just ignore the light. At first start up I'll pay attention to the readings for the tires .... Then change the evic to my desired setting.

To ans your question tho .... Yes, it will reset.

My old truck, a Nissan Frontier, would do this every single fall. The threshold on that truck was 34psi and it was supposed to have 35psi. So every time I drove the thing starting in early fall the tpms light would come on for the first 3-5 miles and then go out once the tires warmed up a bit. Super annoying. I finally started running them with 39 in them so it wouldn't trip the light every time I drove it.

Yeah I normally ignore it or just add enough in to go over that thresh hold but this stupid thing made me put the full 80 psi before it would reset.... First time for that.... Now once they warm up they read 83-84. I'm gonna take some out tomorrow and see what happens.. I had them around 72 and it wouldn't trip

I know on GM trucks I can set the threshold of the TPMS and program the module for different pressures using our Snap-On scanner, I just did one today and others before. Not sure about Dodge trucks, haven't had an opportunity to test it yet. Lots of 3/4 and 1 ton trucks never run full load so the 80psi rear is a bit over kill.

Cant find a dealer to do it!

The small town deanships are usually a little more open minded about it. I argued that over inflated tires are just as dangerous as underinflated tires. I had to sign a waiver freeing them of any responsibility and pay $20.
