As most of ya'll know, my wife is modding my truck while i am gone, and looking at traction bars. Is anyone currently using tractin bars? All I can find is Caltacs, and lakewoods. Can someone chime in?

Like mentioned, Caltracs are the best available for our trucks right now. The Lakewoods are OK, but dont have near the adjustability of the caltracs.

I would email Moes Performance about a sponsorship. They used to make their own traction bars and I heard they were thinking about getting into that again. What better way then to a show truck that might be sponsored in a magazine.

Unfortunately, Bob was making those himself and owns the rights to them. Being honest though, the caltracs perform better anyways. Sure, a set of colormatched traction bars look awesome, but performance wise, you are better off with Caltracs.

I think you all are missing the point of the original post... I believe the real question is where do we find a wife that will mod our trucks for us while gone.... But on a serious note... where?

Definitely go with caltracs love them one mine. Straighter harder launches with zero wheel hop.

Got Caltracs and a Hellwig rear sway bar. Wheel hop is gone around corners. You may hear the "Caltrac Clack" once in a while. It doesn't bother me any more.

I got a set of moes traction bars and they glued my tires to the ground. Love them but they aren't made anymore and caltracs are better but I got these for 120 so I couldn't pass em up

Have the same combo on mine and definitely agree on the handling. To get rid of the clack you can take a piece of heater hose and wrap the piece that hits with it. It will keep things quiet for quite a bit then just cut a new piece when the old one wears out.

I did the same on my 03. Never noticed it again after that. Then again, I was running open headers, so I didnt notice it much before either...haha
