I found the truck I want, unfortunately it's in another state. The company that has it will ship it to me for free and I have 7 days to decide if I love it or can return it for a full refund. I sent payment today and should have the ram in 2 weeks or less.. Probably sound crazy to most but I face timed with the dealer and he sent me 30 pictures. Looks like a new truck but it's been debadged. I don't think I like that look but I'll see. I'd like to do the hood graphic and that's about it, maybe mud guards. Can't wait to get it!

All I can say is you're a seriously brave individual. Kudos.

That said, if you already don't really like the looks of it.. I wouldn't go for it. There has to be a lot of Rams out there.

I debadged mine. I kept all the badges and could put them back on if I wanted. You could always buy badges badges. Not a deal breaker to me

I love the truck, if I were to factory order it I would only add the 32 gallon tank.. What I meant to say in the opening thread was as far as accessories I like the hood decal and maybe mud guards. My Honda served me well but it's seems so archaic in its design and features. I'm getting a really good deal and the dealership guarantees I'll like it or they will take it back on their dime. I really can't lose I guess.

If the part of the deal where they'll "take it back on their dime" if you don't like it comes on some sort of paper, I'd say sounds good. If it was a verbal only guarantee... you are very brave indeed. :)

I don't get the whole Honda Ridgeline thing. It has nothing in capabilities compared to a Ram and gets the same gas mileage and costs the same. Only thing you can do with it is fit in with a soccer mom meeting and not stick out. Honestly, if I was you I wouldn't admit that you owned one again. Welcome to the real truck world, you will love this ram.

Am I the only one who thinks this arrangement sounds super sketchy?

I don't get them either, it's like a mini version of the avalanche. If he gets a crew with the 5ft bed with a hard cover , that will fit right in at the soccer mom parking lot. LOL

No. Vroom.com is the dealership in Texas and if you to to their website you'll see in black and white the guarantee.
As far as the ridgeline-at the time I bought it I had already had 2 fraud f150s that got atrocious gas mileage So I decided to down size to the Honda. While it doesn't get great mileage for its size I did average 15 mpg. The in bed trunk is a great feature. But basically it's a front wheel drive SUV with a bed. I liked it better than the Tacoma I had but no doubt I'm gonna like the Mopar more than all of them.
I researched the dealership and the actual truck so m confident I'm not getting hosed.

They have some nice cars and prices, then I see there NO haggle price.. I aint that ****.!!!

Good luck man. The ridgeline is nice a truck, most people don't need a 1/2 ton pick.

I will admit I really don't. I just like the Ram looks and wanted a V8.

Like I said the ridgeline is an suv with a bed. That's why I got a ram. I need a real pick up.

Probably one of the best Ridgeline descriptions I've heard.

Actually, it's quite functional for a lot of folks, and was a consideration at one time, but:

I do occasionally need a 6.5 bed.
Didn't seem to have any advantages in MPG or power over a full sized truck.

My son in law and his brother in law both work at the Honda plant here. They get wicked lease deals from Mother Honda. The BIL had an 02 full 4 door F150 that was getting a bit tough(body wise)and decided to lease a Ridgeline. He was totally pissed at the fuel mileage. The F150 blew it right out of the water for fuel mileage. When the lease was up he got another F150.Not a 100% sure, but I believe it's a 5.0 litre. The Ecoboosts aren't hanging together all that great here in the north.

Well I'll admit we've had 2 in our family. I gave my wife my 2007 in 09 and she loved it so much she bought a new 2013 knowing they were ceasing production. Have to say they ride and handle way smoother than any conventional truck and are much more planted in the curves--4 wheel indy suspension will do that. Towing however is another matter--gearing in the 5 speed is not good at all. For light duty, all around, pull horse trailer, pick up hay kind of vehicle it meets her needs perfectly. That said I love my 2015 Sport with the ZF and 3.92's. Gets as good mpg as the Ridge. For the curves I drive a new Mini Cooper.

Glad you decided on a real mans truck, not only is it a real truck,if kept stock & driven mildly ( which coming from a honda i'm sure your used to )it will return great fuel mileage about 19mpgs (+ or -) 1mpg.

From researching the Rigdelines I know the have great reliability but they look so freaking weird to me. Wonder what the 2nd generation will look like.
