Tranny p0871

I got this code p0871! It doesn't shift to the 5th gear or OD! What could be the cause? I have a l&m custom tranny! When I delete the code It goes alright for a moment and later it comes back!

well not that good cause its been a month or 2 Im trying to get a hold of him! No email back!

well he hasd! in the past he was always there to answer but not anymore

How come one day I get the error and the other day everything is alright? SHift a little bit hard but not always!

Well eveything was ok but now 2 codes, p0871 and p0846 is it just the body valve or the clutches are done for?

Sounds like the valve body.
I know it's a 68RFE but pretty much the same.

thanks! When i park the truck for a day and let it cool! Everything is alright for a couple of days or atleast for the time it doesnt do alot of stop and go! weird!
