transmission goin out on my 2005 ram 1500

hey guys, so my question is, what transmission is in my automatic 2wd ram 1500 SLT 4.7L, or how do I check? and what all years is compatable so I can start searching for a new one. thank you!

It should be a 545RFE
If you're getting one from a salvage yard,they'll know the correct one to get and what years will fit

Any 45/545RFE from 1999 to about 2012 will work. Whatever computer you have is how the trans will act. The only difference between a 45 & 545 is programming; physically the same trans. For example, you have a 05 545RFE. You could take the 45RFE from a 2002 or earlier (only uses one OD gear), plug it into your vehicle it will run just like your original trans (with two OD gears).
