My truck is having occasional transmission issues. Every once in a while it will stall coming to a stop, struggle to get moving in drive, or seem unable to pick a gear when accelerating (feels like it jumps from one to another, or struggles to engage). The issues are erratic and not consistently repeatable, but has they've been going on for a while.

Fluid level is fine and there are no external leaks.

It's throwing the following codes:

p0700
p0733
p0734
p0841
p0846

What commonly fails on these trucks? Are there any connectors to check or anything, or am I basically looking at a computer or transmission here?

I'm a competent mechanic but not very familiar with automatics (I work on semi tractors mostly) so I'm not entirely sure what the best place to start troubleshooting is.

Thanks for any pointers.

Thank you!

Those codes appear to point toward low transmission fluid level or dirty transmission fluid, possibly even a failed TCM. P0841 could lead to P0846 because of this and P0733 could lead to P0734. P0700 is just a general transmission code just as P0300 is a general misfire code.

If he resolved it or not, who knows, dutchman5172 has only made this one post since joining the forums here.

Possible causes of each code:
P0733/P0734 - Low transmission fluid level, Dirty transmission fluid, Shift solenoids, Transmission mechanical problems, Transmission hydraulic control circuit
P0841 - Low transmission fluid level, Dirty transmission fluid, Faulty Transmission Solenoid/Pressure Switch, Transmission Solenoid/Pressure Switch harness is open or shorted, Transmission Solenoid/Pressure Switch circuit poor electrical connection, Internal transmission damage, Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM), Faulty Transmission Control Module (TCM)
P0846 - 2/4 Pressure Switch harness is open or shorted, 2/4 Pressure Switch circuit poor electrical connection, Faulty 2/4 Pressure Switch, Internal transmission damage, Faulty Powertrain Control Module (PCM), Faulty Transmission Control Module (TCM)
