And try following up by running it down to fumes and repeating a few times before filling completely.
I believe concentration is ideal.

I suppose a 1/4 tank on your vehicle is only a few gallons.

What do you mean running down to fumes?

In my world it is an old saying indicating your gas tank has gone lower than merely LOW, there is so little fuel left that there is nothing left inside but the smell - in other words the fumes. Just like "flying on vapors".

I think this is admittedly me preaching to the choir, but I saw this YT video and thought it was rather interesting. The guy runs a couple tests and he readily admits the test was flawed because one of the engines failed when it threw a timing chain, taking it out of the competition at an early stage.

I really like how up-front and transparent this guy seems to be about every aspect. I only wish I could have seen the entire list of tested products, I'd like to know what he DID test, and also what he did NOT test.

Anyway, here is the vid. Hopefully not a repost, I just know I haven't seen it before. Video is 2 months old and 10:26 long.

I couldn't agree more, knowing what is in the bottle is needed! Now he sells it, lol. 17 a bottle free ship.

Curmudgeon has the right idea.

Perhaps I should have said, almost down to fumes.

I'm attempting to prolong a higher concentration of Si-1 in the fuel.
I may have triggered the low fuel alarm more than once, but the gas station is always nearby.

And the outdoor ambient temperature was high enough that I wasn't concerned about condensation in the tank.

Thanks! How many times do you need to run one bottle per 1/4 tank of gas? 2x, 4x?

My tank is 26 gallons, and a 15oz bottle of SI-1 says it will treat 21 gallons, so I've always figured 1 gallon per tank would result in a weak concentration. I use 2 15oz bottles when the tank is below 1/4, add the bottles, then fill the tank. I typically do this at least once between oil changes.

I was taught (Dad, of course) to never let your tank get below 1/2, and I never have (except for "medicinal" purposes!). Also, my tank has a weird shape and the gauge reflects that non-linear design. Probably 85% of my tank is reflected in the top 1/2 of the gauge, once it goes below the 1/2 mark it falls like a stone.

I recall seeing a review on YT where the guy used a borescope to see what happened when he added 6 bottles to his tank, and it cleaned even better.
I won't recommend that exactly, but it does suggest that higher concentrations can be beneficial. I have always thought my use of SI-1 was preventive and I always went with just 2 bottles for 26 gallons.
My wife's little Eclipse has a 12 gallon tank and I add just the 1 bottle to hers. So far so good, but both vehicles have been running well already.
