Transmission oil cooler

That front cooler should have two sets of hoses running to it, one is the A/C condenser on the bottom, the upper section is the trans cooler. Follow the lines from the upper section back and you'll reach the trans.

I did not buy the truck new.
I did buy a trans cooler and was about to install it. Then I saw that front cooler. And yes it has 2 hoses from the ac, and 2 from the trans.
So, I guess my question now is. Can I Install the cooler I bought, or do I not need it.

It's standard equipment on the 4th gen Ram to have a trans cooler and that cooler is more than capable of handling the trans cooling even for towing loads through the mountains so it's not really necessary to add a second cooler. If you're seeing temps that concern you then you possibly have blocks in the cooler, your fluid needs to be changed, or you're running low.
