And this, is why I am looking to find a truck between 25 and 40 years old.
My wife took me to retrieve my 1997 5.9 gas farm truck. No AC and barely a dash left but the drivetrain is solid!!
My 77 chevy K10 truck is bullet proof mechanically and I wouldnt trade it for a plastic computer truck at all.My wife took me to retrieve my 1997 5.9 gas farm truck. No AC and barely a dash left but the drivetrain is solid!!
I was also informed that the dealer doesn’t have any loaners available so if I want a truck, I need to get a rental out of my own pocket and they will reimburse. I asked if I could get a statement in writing for them to agree to reimburse rental fees. The email I received addresses to me said “FCA will be willing to reimburse that customer for a rental.” Doesn’t sound like a promise to me.
Way too new. I'm looking for something mid 70's to no later than '93. Screw all this computer and wiring ****. Sick of it. I want simple.
FCA just called. Asked if I was able to drop off my truck at the dealer on Friday last week. Well yes, I did...I even left my case manager a voicemail to let him know. FCA says the dealer claims to have not seen my truck....
....turns out FCA case manager was calling the wrong dealer.
Thursday update. FCA case manager said “the dealer is still trying to replicate your issue. I will call back on Monday.”
I still don’t have my truck or a loaner. We’re moving into week #3 without a vehicle for the second transmission rebuild. The first rebuild took 40 days.
I hope my patience pays off for a favorable resolution.
