I have previously bought a 2002 ram 1500 magnum v8 and i was told that reverse doesn't work well and that something with the computer needed to be reset and I don't know if that is true. I believe the transmission is a 45rfe from a jeep grand Cherokee. Thanks

2002 4.7 yeah you have a 45RFE. You can reset the adaptives and do a quick learn but I don't know if that'll solve the problem. Have you tested it or just going off what you've been told? Are there any codes? Trans codes come in groups, you'll get a P0700 (general trans fault) and then at least one other P07XX code that is more specific.
