Just got a trinity for my 2012. Got a custom tune through hemifever and it is very very impressive the power and mileage I'm getting now. The DSdownloader took an upgrade and then 3 more for the tuner but all is well except that it will not accept changing the tire size. I've tried quick changes and modify tune but both say tire size change failed. I read on diablosports website forum that the change works but still says failed anyways but I've got no confirmation....just wondered if you guys have had the same issue and how to fix it? Thanks

Do you have a GPS that you can use to check your speedo? I have had a few customers tell me the same thing you are, but the speedo was corrected even though the Trinity said the tire change failed.

Mine did same as well
I actually had to put it on 34" tires on the tuner to get the speedo on with gps. . Didnt wanna rack up more miles than actual. I have 35 toyo mts which is a true 35. Its never once said it was successful lol

If you have an android phone download speedview for it

It's a 2012 issue. I have a trouble ticket open with them. My speed is WAYYYYY off.
I'm running about 6 mph less than what the tach reads

Thanks guys, I'm glad I'm not the only one. I drive enough that it felt like the speedo was corrected but wasn't positive due to the tire size failed note.

I'll try out a separate GPS unit to verify the speedo this week. I know with my Predator on my 09, I had to drop the tire setpoints smaller than the actual size to get the speedo correctly reading my MPH

Weird? Mine said it worked... And doesn't seem to be off any... Then again I went down an inch to 32s and not up? I didn't get an error message or anything.

I guess you are one of the lucky ones cause I have yet to hear of a '12 to be successful in a tire size change

That's weird... Im wondering how mine was so different. I wonder if I am doing the correct speed...

Not sure man, if it said successful, then Im sure it is.
I cannot for the life of me get it to do this......

Wouldn't surprise me if diablo made a special glitch/problem free download for chaney's IP address as often as he told them what was up on their forum :) They knew they'd hear about it! haha Loved watching that...

But the tuner is definitely changing my tire size although it says failed. It's went from reading 6-8 less than my gps to 1-2 over what my gps reads. Going to drop the size down to 33.5 tomorrow and see how that fairs with my 35s. I prefer with other tuners where you simply put in rotations per mile. Requires more from the owner but you were able to get pretty precise with it.

A heads up to people. My is still saying failed but definitely changes tire size. I have a true 35" tall tire and on the 33.5" setting on my trinity my speedo is right on with my gps if i put it any larger it read faster than what i actually am doing ie putting more miles on the truck than actual.

Andrew, I checked mine with a GPS last night. With the tire height set at 33.5" (with 35s), my speedo was dead nuts at 65 mph. So even though the quick change and modify tune updates to the tire size say "failed", it IS working.

My other problem is when data logging, even after saving the file, I lose the data. If I try to play the run back, it locks up the trinity and I have to unplug it. I've got an email into diablosport on both of these issues and I'll let you know what they say...

Got the feedback from Kevin....thanks for that.
Odd thing is, my GPS (Garmin portable) and iphone app says its off, but I had my wife drive behind me in her non modified stock car (its 2011, so its almost new) and when I drove 70, she too said she was driving 70.
When driving 65, she too was driving 65 (we were on our phones...lol)

Anyways, it seems to be right. but quite odd that my GPS and iphone app was off.
I can see the iphone app being off, but the GPS?

So I will have to monitor this more closely and hope it is accurate.
I actually set my tires to the size written on the sidewall vs the actual tire size
I entered in 325/60/20 and Im guessing its more accurate, but it was dead on with my wife (again driving behind me at the same distance and speed apart)

Ill monitor and keep all updated, but it looks like it MAY be accurate even though it said failed.

I know speedos are not very accurate. My experience seems to be the same as thor's. My speedo is dead on with gps around 55-75 bit a smidgen off elsewhere. Its possible that something is off with their standard input vs metric. I may see what my tires are in metric and see how that works out as well. Gonna be nice one day when 40k dollar trucks can check their own speed against gps and correct themselves.

I did however man up and start running 93 fuel with the 93 tune. Getting better gas mileage like i used to running the hottest tune with my diesel. I think the power helps it overcome the hills around here.

Mpg tune got worse mileage than the 87 tune.

my measurements for tires are read directly off the side of them.
I went with 325/60/20, which are slightly oversized 35's for winter (Terra Crappler.....sorry, meant Grappler..lol)
I dont have my truck till tomorrow so I cant do further testing....
