Hey yall. Ive got a 04 2500 5.7 4x4 QCLB and from what ive seen, absolutely nobody makes a set of long tubes for it. Ive seen a few for single cabs, a few for 2wd, many for 1500s, but nothing for mine!!! The only thing that ive found is a set of JBA shorties for around a grand and thats just not happening. Anyone seen or heard of someone with a truck like mine doing long tubes?

PM. Ol Dirty John, he pops in once and a while and am pretty sure he had long tubes on his 2500 but he was 2WD which is likely an easier set-up y-pipe wise. Companys are mostly only producing headers when they have so many orders so the wait time is unsure. My shorties just went and i was forced to go longtubes in pacesetter with the Off road pipe as that was all that was readily available. If you can get Matt to answer a question via PM at Moes maybe he can help you out. I sent him one and never heard back he may have just forgot being real busy. Danny

I gave up searching for headers for my 2005 2500. I need to do exhaust manifold gaskets cause my leak is getting out of hand and i have a bunch of broken header bolts. I assume the stock manifolds are probably warped or cracked from leaking for probably a year or more, hence my search for headers.

If you look on summitracing there's a few shorty headers cheaper than the JBA's but no longtube or mid length headers. Shorties aren't worth the price to me personally. I've been thinking about calling a few shops to get a quote on a set of custom headers but haven't gotten around to it, and I expect it would be several thousand $$.

TTI is the only company I know making longtubes for the 03-05 2500 Hemi trucks. I heard rumor that ARH will have some out soon as well. Otherwise, you are limited to shorties.

The srt ram I thought was a ten cylinder so do you mean srt jeep or charger or challenger?

Awesome. That company came up in my search but the website is "under construction". I'll call tomorrow and report back

The srt8 is an 8 cylinder, hence the 8. Thats what comes in the jeeps, chagers, and challengers

A little searching shows that they work in a 1500 chassis with a custom y-pipe because the collectors are in a different spot.
My 2500 obviously has a different front suspension to fit around, but it may not make too much of a difference since we're not talking about massive pipes like a Long tube header. Do you have any experience with the jeep manifolds in a 3/4 ton truck?

I have no clue. If you check my posts i have one about an engine i am planning on building. That should happen in about a year or so, so i wont have any experience with the srt8 manifolds until then.

An article hotrod.com did had a budget turbo'd 5.7 with srt8 manifolds and they said they had better hp and torque numbers just from the manifolds alone.
The trick is getting them to fit, which i expect would work

I just put stainless JBA shorties ($550 online) on my Megacab which sits on a 2500 chassis. The fit was extremely tight on the passengers side because of the frame. I like the sound of them and gained about 10 HP over stock. Just thought I'd mention it since I have no idea if those srt8 manifolds would fit or not.

No, they were stainless and it looks like they're different from '05 to '06. I can PM you.
