are we positive the subs work? if you have tried rca's, new amp, new wiring, that only leaves speakers and head unit. i would like to think that you played with all the settings on the head unit to make sure it has output to the amp.

Even if the subs were blown they would crackle

a sure fire fix if the subs work and the amp works would be a line out converter. im at a loss unless its a bad connection somewhere

To test the subs... Take a small battery, 9 volt works well. Use speaker wire, hook to speaker terminals and then to pos and neg terminals on 9 volt battery. You should hear a noise. If you don't, maybe bad speakers. If you do prolly bad amp or something wrong in your wiring in somewhere.

This is an excellent way to test speakers when wires are not labeled..

Okay so I got it into future shop today. They pretty much had no idea wht the problem was, they said I need all new wiring... And that my harness was junk and that who ever wired it did a ****** job.

Okay I know this is my first time wiring it, but I did it carefully... He said "your power and ground are just floppin around... WTF NO THEIR NOT. The ground is bolted under the seat and the power is on the freaking battery. He said "my wires aren't crimped right" wtf how do you crimp a wire wrong.... So since he didn't know wht the solution was the only thing he came up with was buy all new wiring and have it installed... Yeah $600 no big deal, and that's on top of the $200 I paid for wiring already... I'm so bummed out by this now, that I just want to rip it all out and sell it. There's no way in hell I'm paying these losers to put it in for $600

That sucks man... did you ground the amp properly? Are you sure that your AMP turns on? Maybe your RCA's are bad. Did you get the proper amp to push your subs?

If these questions were already asked I'm sorry but I'm feeling too lazy to read 10 pages worth of posts haha

What I would probably do is rewire everything with the same wires again. Maybe you'll find the culprit while doing that.

Edit: I read through the whole posts and well my reply is irrelevant since everyone's already told you what I did.

If I lived near you I would go and try and help you. Sadly I don't... :/

I was troubleshooting an issue on my friends car because his head unit wouldn't come on a while. I was thinking that the fuse on it went out because I've seen that they have fused on the back. I take out his head unit but I can't find a fuse anywhere. I test his wires with digital multimeter, and see that he's definitely getting power to the HU. I spend about an hour messing with the wires and stuff when he decides to poke a "reset" button, and bam! That fixed it! Guess that the HU had a circuit breaker instead of a fuse so I was on the right track! haha

tl;dr Looked for a fuse for about an hour, couldn't find it and my friend randomly pressed a button that got it fixed.

I'll be laughing if it's something simple like that. :roflsquared:

Haha I'm glad that you got it fixed!
If I were to have helped you out in person, I would have probably figured it out.
It's was such a simple fix, but it's so easy to overlook how many ohm's you have your subs wired to.

Yeah exactly, it was simple but I didn't know that havin those wires where they were would change the ohms haha. Its so simple but that's how they were set up when I bought them so I assumed they had to be that way. I love it already though haha I had to clean out my dome light already cuz a bunch of the foam had shook into it :)

Now you know for next time! And at least you got your wires upgraded because I imagine that you wouldn't have upgraded if you had it working.

Post some sub-woofer **** for us to see!

Haha yeah I put in some bigger gauge wires then before. Haha I have one small video I took, it's only at quarter volume of just the sub. I can't wait till I get my fox box though because the box I have right now is ugly and takes up my whole back seat :p
