I have a high mileage ~130K 2009 Ram 1500 that has developed a new sound, and I don't know how to narrow it down, and was curious if y'all have run into something similar.

Symptom:

Going ~15mph coasting is loudest, from the back passenger side of the truck I hear a rhythmic almost scraping type of sound, a bit like a choo choo train chugging along.

If you slow down, the sound disappears.

If you speed up, the sound doesn't appear to get faster or slower but also eventually disappears (but could just be its drowned out by other road noises).

If you apply the brakes, again I can't hear it.

Could this mean that its a brake issue then? But if so, I'd expect to hear scraping on the brakes, not off, and not choo-choo'ing chuffing intermittently.

If its a wheel bearing or something, you'd think it would still be audible when braking and get louder with speed.

Thoughts?
