The updated version with the 5.0 Cummins will be introduced tomorrow. Pretty excited to see it. I've owned 3 Titans over the years.

Yeah, I saw that. Amazing that they waited over 10 years for an updated model though... I put a Banks Monster exhaust on mine and it was crazy loud, lol! I really enjoyed that truck.

Well didn't want any surprises when opening the box or that hideous color or weak specs, lol troutspinner so I decided to upgrade to a levono 11.6" i3 machine. I found it for $479 and best buy was selling for $579 and they matched pricing so needless to say I have a dedicated PC with a stylish color that matches the truck lol. The machine is powerful with 4gb ram and 500gb HD and quad core processor. This will be good to have around the house or travel with, very small, light as well as tune truck with the 11.6" size. I downloaded all the helix software as well as trinity Diablo updates and files. Just waiting on net audio sub build now and some warmer weather. Here is a pic of machine.

Why start a new thread ;) but the build will continue! The wallet came out tonight and my amp is getting a twin brother. I will affectionally call them Left and Right. Possibly Dumb and Dumber, Ping and Pong, Richer and Poorer, Jose and Hose-B....who knows, but it begins again.

Yeah, a lot of fact finding for me lately. I am set on the amp and box and 98% set on the mids but I am still on the fence with subs.

I was debating on some hybrid legatia 3's to put in the dash as well, but seems like it would complicate things. Question, what happens to the speed warnings and turn by turn directions that come through the stock unit now, will they just come through the new setup and DSp as well. What have you guys done with that. You know how the stock head unit Lowers music and notifies of direction or over speed limit? Not sure if could run that signal to dedicated stock dash speakers.

I thought the same thing also but now that I am 2-way, I can understand the benefits of 3-way.

These are what I am after https://www.madisoundspeakerstore.c...illuminator-12mu/4731t-00-4.5-midrange-4-ohm/

As for the system sounds coming through, they come through like normal, no issues there.

Trout spinner I was debating between the hybrid 3's and 4's as well. Where are you going to install them in the dash? those speakers are really nice match your tweets as well.

They will go in the stock factory location. After I do some tuning it will tell me if they have to come out and go into another location.

I will be curious to know if it can be dialed in appropriately as I want to have some midrange in dash as well but the windsheild makes me nervous.

I thought the stock dash speakers sounded pretty good there. I know when I placed my tweeters in that location they were more harsh and narrowed the stage but I am hoping that crossing somewhere around 6k (TBD) will quell it.

The fun of audio, we shall see.

I had L3s in the dash and still got very nice sound and imaging with it. Just recently put some L4 SEs in the pillars, and brought it to a whole different level now. I would suggest trying to get the mids away from the windshield but if that's not an option, you still won't be disappointed with them in the stock locations.

I put my Scan 10f's in the stock location and currently crossed at 6k. They perform very well off axis which helps. Couldn't imagine running another mid.

Troutspinner, will those 4.5" scans fit up in the dash? I was debating putting a l4v2 in there if I could get it to fit. Don't mind a lite trimming what do you guys think would the l3 or l4 be better? Want to compliment the l1v2 tweets in sail as well as l6v2 of n the doors. Any thoughts or preferences... As I am following in your footsteps. Still waitin on my box but movin down the line, I am right After lizard king.:3681700201_eef6d1e2

I can't see fitting anything bigger than 100mm in the dash without doing some serious trimming. The Scans clock in at 98mm and they fit snug in the stock location.

The sibling is in. This one is rated a couple ticks higher than his brother but I won't hold it against him, I love all of my children equally. ;)
