I went to an off-road park over the weekend where I tried a few obstacles and played in the mud a bit. Nothing major to say the least. On the way home the drive was real shaky due to mud caked in the wheels etc etc. I spent a couple hours underneath and cleaned up what I could that fixed that issue. One thing I am noticing now is the truck feels tight, sluggish as if I am towing. I do have a CAI and noticed it looks dirty, but nothing that made me say that needs to be done asap. Anyways, I honestly do not know what to look for next. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate your input. Thank you.

Try unhooking your battery for a while to reset the computer. See if that makes a difference. It doesn't cost anything ...good first place to start. If you haven't already.

Without actually seeing the air filter it's hard to tell, but I would suggest cleaning it first. Usually if the air filter "looks" dirty than it may be restricting air flow....also concerned since it's a CAI and more exposed to dirt and mud. Also make sure none of the brakes are dragging since you were in the mud. The next obvious question did you make sure to put it back into 2wd? Running it in 4wd on the roads can give some weird feelings and sometimes give the perception it is sluggish under certain conditions.

I am going to clean the filter and maf sensor today and check the brakes. Might be a silly question, but what exactly does brakes dragging look like? or what is that? yeah definitely made sure I am back in 2wd.

Jack up one wheel at a time, spin tire. If it does not spin easy, brake is dragging. Usually caused by the calipers not fully retracting due to mud or crud in the way.

Also, if you filter got wet, or there is water behind the filter in the plumbing that will mess with performance big time.
