Yep, just looked at some build sheets. I’m not COMPLETELY losing it. He was looking at the 2500’s, they’re not ventilated but the 1500’s are. Kinda odd
My ‘16 laramie (2500) came with ventilated seats…im sure the new ones do too.

Now ventilated rear seats…that takes a special package last i knew.

A couple of random build sheets. No ventilation in the 2500

Thanks for all the info. gives me a lot to think about between now and September/October when I have to make a decision. Any dealerships that give the best deals?

You'll be hard pressed to find a better deal than Mark Dodge. @AnthonyRI can get you taken care of pain/hassle free.

Do your homework before you purchase anything with e-torque. Yes there are happy e-torque owners out there but there are the horror stories of backordered/nonexistent parts for some unfortunate e-torque owners with no relief in sight.

So have a kiddo that is turning 16 this year, so we are planning to give him my '18 Laramie Crew Cab Hemi. What that means for me is it is time to look for a new vehicle. But I can not decide on my best option. Am I going to be dissatified with the i6 or the eTorque Hemis? Just trying to decide which trims and options I should be considering and which ones to avoid.
I too have owned the 5.7 v8 last 5 trucks before I bought the 2025 Ram new in FEB,2025. The 3.0 H.O. Hurricane has been nothing but awesome. Its without any issues, very quiet with my older son refusing to belive it was a 6 banger when he drove it. It has more power over 5.7 being without recalls or the dreaded e-tourqe. I think in 2027 they have done away with the ET for the 5.7. That said, I really liked the 5.7's I had minus the one with ET. this 25 has very comfortable seating in it ,but one could say i dont like the auto drive stuff and keep it turned off in this 2025. I hope they always the options of on/off for the auto drive stuff. The only function it has that my 2019 did not have is adaptive cc stays on at all times with no option of switching to non adaptive cruse like the 2019. Very annoying for me to have adaptive cruse control unless on a long trip without much traffic.Good luck on choosing anew truck. I'm sure either one minus the ET will be a great choice.

Hmm. My 2026 big horn has adaptice cruise control, but i dont have to use it. Normal cruise control is right next door to it on the steering wheel.

You sure there's not a button on the steering wheel to turn adaptive cruise on and off??

Go drive a Laramie SO Hurricane then a Limited HO Hurricane then a Hemi truck and report back

My money is on the Limited HO, or anyone with the HO. Limited, Longhorn or Tungsten

100% for sure there is no standard cruise button to depart from the adaptive on the 2025 Tungsden. Figured out there was none after I bought and traded for my new truck over a year ago. Its the only thing I do NOT like about the new truck. On my 2023 you could choose which one you wanted with seperate buttons.

You are spot on!! I drove the Laramie S.O. before I drove and bought the 3.0 H.O Tungsden. OMG!! Its so very different and much stronger than the 5.7 was in my 2023 Ram. Just for me I do not like the self drive at all and run with it off 99% of the time unless on a isolated freeway I then may use it only for a short while. Only draw back is I paid for that crap and never wanted it. The Tungsden is hands down the best riding Ram I ever had and runs the best as well. Very happy with it. I traded my 2023 Laramie for it.

That exactly how my 2023 Laramie was too. I never used the adaptive at all. Cannot do that with the 2025 Tungsden and many complained about it. maybe they corrected it in 2026? I wamted to have it added to mine thinking it was plug and play and the dealer told me it would not be possible to add the standard cruise control to it.

my 25 does not. I wonder if the drive itself totally has the different software and button ?
Huh. Well, i dont use the adaptive cruise much so cant really comment on its performance. But, cant you just use it as a normal cruise control, and then when it starts “adapting” to the slower cars just shut it off like you would have to with normal cruise?

You can give throttle input and "override" the adaptive and it will just resume when you let off the throttle.
