I use Diablo i3.

Pro's can ecu and trans tune the vehicle.

Con's unlocked ecu (cost more) because of 2015 model year.

Superchips Flashpaq F5 on my 2010.
No messing with a second ECU, just plug into OBD port and change settings.
Shift points, limiters, tire size, MDS, lots to change.
I'm running a 93 octane tune with MDS off, very happy with it.

I thought I read that the 2014 model is unlocked and 2015 up needed a ecu swap...

It is,do you have the 8 speed transmission,if so and you want to tune it,you'r best bet is HP tuning. It'***** or miss on whether you will be able to tune either a 2013 or 2014's 8 speed with Diablo, after 14 the TCM changed and Diablo's handheld can tune it,prior to that not so much.

I do have the 8 speed. I have never looked into HP, what is the pros with them?
The pros about HP Tuners is that it is a fully customizable suite to tune with but the con is that you have to know what you are doing or you can screw up quick.

HP Tuners is not a plug-n-play flash like Diablosport or Superchips. With the VCM Editor you are making the changes in the tune so unless you know what you are doing or have a tuner with direct experience I would stay away from HP Tuners.

Now, if you want to go the route of custom tunes then HP Tuners will work just fine as long as you have a tuner in mind and can get the truck to them so it can be tuned in the dyno.

Just talk to your tuner and see what he uses.

You can remote tune with HP just as easy as you can with Diablo.

Thanks for the heads up!

Hunt up Ryan Hogan of Flying Ryan Performance (FRP) tuning,he has a pretty decent rep with HP tuning, and he can remote tune your truck with-out it being on a dyno.Be very cautious of Dyno shops that aren't familiar with the Dodge/Chrysler platform, they can be very good at tuning the GM or Ford platforms, and be a complete nightmare at tuning your Ram truck.Do your research on any dyno shop if you decide to go that way. Personally if the shop doesn't come highly reconmended for tuning Dodges, you're probably better off with a remote tune, especially if it's a daily driver and not strictly a dragstrip toy that you want that last ounce of power out of.

Yes, you can. It's very easy to do. I was only referencing his question about HP Tuners. No worries though. When I do some remote tuning for a few of my friends I have it set up where we can connect through TeamViewer and it works really well.
