wondering if any body has done any tuning and with what tuner. My issue is the drive by wire and the shifting, they are both slow. has anyone tried to fix either? I have a 2014, 2z2 single cab. looked at the variram intake and like the way it looks but does it perform or just look cool? Thanks for any help

You wouldn't really notice anything but sound, from the intake.

Search function would bring you up a days worth of reading on tuners for these trucks..

Diablo is the tuner that is most popular for our trucks. Trans tuning isn't available yet for them

The Vararam is supposed to be the one that shows the most performance for our trucks, followed by the S&B Cold Air Intake... People choose S&B over the Vararam sometimes because of design, meaning for people that live in climates with a lot of snow / sleet etc, the sealed design of the S&B is probably a bit safer... the S&B fit and finish is also better...

As mentioned, the DiabloSport tuners are the tuner of choice for these trucks... You could purchase one from Moe's Performance or HemiFeverTuning and get custom tuning options from HemiFever (or Jay Green etc) and that should really wake the truck up...

Then of course, you'll want to add exhaust, maybe a ported throttle body, maybe even long tube headers... and on and on...

This. Just remember that once you start, it never ends!

Getting a tuner and turning up the throttle booster up will help the lagy pedal.

This. Get an Intune or Trinity, find the Throttle Boost menu, and crank that up (to a max of 20%), which will help get rid of the pedal lag in the drive-by-wire setup. Also, check out Sonnax Line Pressure Booster, or getting a custom tune with a higher trans line pressure setting, which will add a bit more snap to the throttle/shifts.

thanks for the help everyone. I'm thinking of an exhaust for sure and then a gear change 3.92 or 4.09 not sure yet. I've always had a diesel so Edge or Bully dog seemed to be the one, but have only heard good about diablo when it comes to gas rigs. As of now my only mod has been a K&N I'll stick with it until I get further a long.
