Thanks! I'm glad I went ahead with the frustration of taping and liquid masking and didn't cop out and go all black like I almost did a couple times.

How is the rear removed and reattached? I'm paint mirrors this week and I think I am going to color match the background on the emblems and leave the ram chrome

I used fishing line on as much of the 3M tape as I could. Then I took the plate on the inside of the tailgate off and pushed on the two pins that stick through in there. That's probably not necessary. I could have got it by pulling it off. To put it back on I used some 3M tape. That's all that holds it.
