Just picked up a 2014 1500 Express with U Connect 5.0. Looking to upgrade to a bigger screen with navigation. Heard rumors that you cannot upgrade to the 8.4. Any truth to that or any other suggestions out there? Thanks

I think its kinda hard due to the differences in controls....since seat heater, a-c, wifi, etc are going thru the 8.4 unit. But not to say its impossible.
Theres an aftermarket but stock looking 8.4 kit I seen. Google oem fit radio ram 1500 and it should pop up.

It's not the size of the 8.4 it's all the wiring. For a express your better off going aftermarket for a nav system.
