Just picked up this 2019 Patriot Blue Classic Night Edition. The U connect app has only updated twice since I got the truck. What good is the app if you can never connect to the truck. My phone connects to the truck via Bluetooth and I have great cell service. Just get nothing but failed commands. Dealer tells me that it is a very common problem. Any of you experienced the same issues.

I've had the Uconnect app for a couple of years and never had any issues with it.I can tell you that it's rare that it gets updated

Tried the app on my phone and it never worked, acts like it is running but displays nothing on the phone but a blank screen. Bluetooth works perfect (yes I am a dinosaur still using an iPhone 6S because it hasn't died yet).

Is your truck new or used? Reason I ask is the app is free for 6 months or a year ( I forget which) then you have to pay for it or they disable it. So if it is used the previous owner ate the free part.

I used mine for the first year without incident but refuse to pay the $150/yr just to be able to remote start my truck from my phone. This was 5 years ago so probably not very applicable but it worked fine when I did use it.

Brand new. Only had it now for just over a month. I have LTE service where I am and it will not communicate with the truck at all. Yet it will when I am in a bigger city. 2 bars of service vs 4 bars of service.

I missunderstood your question. I thought you were having radio problems.

I just started using the guardian service myself less than a month ago. The other day i opened up the app to see if everything was working fine, sure enough it wasnt working, let it be for a few hrs and it worked again. It sure is weird sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt.

This would be bad in a situation you really needed it to work

Might be an I-phone issue. You can hit the button on your mirror and have one of the reps walk you through a couple of things on your phone. I had to once when I set mine up. I have Android and it works well. Sometimes it may take 20 seconds to get the command to the truck but it does work. And the Location function most of the time has to be refreshed to find the truck. I mainly got it for the auto start, tire pressure & fuel monitoring, and being able to Lock the truck from anywhere.
For anyone not familiar with the app here are a few screen shots. The truck on the app even matches mine! No, I'm not a salesman. I just like the app and convenience of having it.

Auto start is not dependant on the app. My app expired about 2 years ago since I wasn't going to pay for that crappy app but my remote start still works. I just used it a few days ago using the fob.

That's not what I was referring to. The Auto Start through the App. is also available for instances when the FOB is out of range. Of course the FOB will still work if you are close enough..

I have been debating the yearly cost vs the performance of the app remote start myself.

I usually dont remember to use it until I am grabbing my stuff and getting ready to leave. A few times now the truck has started as I was walking up to it. If it takes a minute to start up after using the app I dont think its worth it. Other manufacturers have instant response, not sure why this one takes so long.
