2017 PW with 36k miles, was hunting. Day 1 and upon starting in the morning truck freaks out and lights up like a Christmas tree, speedometer doesn't work. Service abs, service trailer brake system. All kind of warnings. Take it to the local napa get the truck scanned and it's ccanceled.

Trip cancelled. On the way home over mountain passes or just holding gear the truck cuts all power and no throttle response truck has to be turned off and turned on. Happened about every 50 miles. Dealers within a 75 mile radius to include denver can not evaluate til week of Thanksgiving.

Anyone have this issue any fixes that worked? Already disconnected battery waited an hour the reconnect.

Trying to find out if you ever found out what the cause was I'm running to the exact same issue you're talking about got the same code U1412, traction control parking brake abs powertrain/ check engine and the brake light. Speedometer won't read I am also having a tightness when I'm turning the steering wheel power steering fluid is full I've looked everywhere to find out what could be the Culper of this code and I'm hoping you found out what was wrong with yours.

Power steering fluid? The 5th gens are not electric steering like the 4th gens? I bet they are….which is most likely why you are having steering issues…most likely electronic/computer issue.

That code and the symptoms are most likely because of a loose connection, partially broken wire, or corrosion causing an intermittent signal, power, or ground to a module (such as the ABS module). It could also be an intermittent failure of that module, such as some internal circuitry being loose or corrosion. I would start with tracking down the ABS module and start with inspection for any signs of corrosion around it, loose connections, and start tracing the harness through the vehicle.

And for an FYI, you are more likely to get help if you make a post someplace else other than replying to a year old post on a Power Wagon specific page.
