UConnect 8.4” won’t turn off (sometimes)

Within just the last week, I’ve seen an issue where the the UConnect keeps playing the (wireless) CarPlay music and won’t turn off when I shut off the truck and open the door. Doesn’t matter which music app it is, or if I close out the app on my phone - the screen stays on.
- I’ve tried restarting the truck, turning it off, and getting out - nope.
- I’ve tried getting out, locking it, unlocking it, relocking it - nope.
- Tried all kinds of different stuff.
- The only thing that seems to work is getting out, auto starting it, then turning it off.

This doesn’t happen all the time. Sometimes it’ll do it every stop I make in a day. Sometimes it won’t do it for days.

Does anyone know what’s up with this?

I bet it's playing music as a Bluetooth call. You'll experience the same if you go to leave the vehicle with an active phone call. See if there is a setting in your phone to check...

Mine has been doing that as well. System will not turn off for about 1-2 minutes after powering truck off and locking doors. It would also occasionally not auto connect to CarPlay and reboot randomly. It would also not allow me to update the software. Took it in last week for an oil change and they diagnosed a hardware issue. Parts arrived yesterday so I'll be taking it in tomorrow for repair. I am hoping this solves it.
