Hi guys. I searched forums and internet and can’t find my exact issues so I thought I’d ask here for advice.
2018 ram 3500 screen delaminated. I ordered a replacement screen and digitizer from Cuescreens. Awesome detailed installation vids. Followed religiously. Ran VIN for Uconnect updates and says none.
Worked great as it should for 2 weeks. Then would boot up 50% of time after a 2 weeks of driving. Then just stopped one day.
Here’s what’s weird. I can tell the screen is powered (almost like a back light effect).
The touchscreen works fine just can’t see anything. I know the locations of certain icons so when I touch them, it will switch (radio station for example).
It’s like everything works fine except the screen is black and backlit.
I thought I might’ve damaged the ribbon cable (checked twice). Or something with the HMI Module? But why would the touchscreen work fine when I touch the icons that I’ve memorized.
At a loss now.
Any suggestions guys. I’m into this for $700 now. Arrgh.
