Uconnect 8.4 potentially failing (update phone message)

So my gps is on crack and the "vehicle phone requires service" message keeps coming up so I think it's my radio that is taking a dump. Has anyone figured out an alternative to replacing the radio yet? My local dealer is pretty bad and I'm 98% certain they won't replace it for me under any kind of warranty. (2014 w/70k+)

Just tried updating my 8.4 uconnect in my 2014 ram 1500. Biggest mistake I ever made. Had it 3 years with no issues other than an occasional pop up saying vehicle phone requires service and to contact the dealer. Today I slip in the USB drive update and it's 67% complete and it fails. Tells me to take out the USB and then start over. Which I did to no avail. Had to disconnect the battery because the screen won't turn off. Keeps wanting the USB drive. Gets stuck in same place every time. Any ideas on what to do would be great because the truck is almost not drivable in its current state. Thanks
