Uconnect aplha sorting

I have a 2014 with the Uconnect 5.0 and previously when using my ipod or any other device my system would allow me to select the alpha soft key under artists and then skip down to wherever I needed to go. Then while in for some routine work the dealer flashed an update to my system. From then on I have been unable to use the alpha sort key under artist and at the same time my compass stopped working. I took it back and the dealer did another update and got the compass working, but claims that I should have never been able to sort artists by alpha even though I know for a fact it used to work. I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and what solve they found or am I going to have to fight the dealer?

Have a 2013 Bighorn and I am also having this problem now. Worked fine before. I plug in a 120GB ipod classic loaded with 25000+ songs. The alpha keys work for album and songs but no longer for artists. Would like to have that feature back.
