Just wondering if it is easy to add it on yourself. Or am I better off going to the dealership to have this done.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks

The dealer is expensive. It isn't difficult to instal, but it isn't cheap either. The kits go for around $245

Basically, you remove the glove box and mount the module on the side wall with large zip ties. Then you remove the radio, route the harness from the new uconnect module and plug it into the back of the radio. you also have to run the microphone and cable that comes with the kit. The instructions say to mount it on the A-pillar. That's where I put mine.

It's all plug in though. No splicing or anything.

*NOTE* after you install it, you have to take it to a dealer to have the sales code flashed. It won't work until they flash it. Different dealers charge different amounts for the flash. People here have been charged anything from $40 - $150 for a sales code flash.
