UConnect OTA Update / Issues

Has anyone else had the OTA (over the air), update message pop up on the screen? It came up on my 2018 RAM a few days ago. It was confusing at first as I did not have this OTA option on my 2017 and I also did not know it was an option. Then 2 days after doing the update I got an email that it was coming soon. Here’s a link to what basically happens.


Now after the update I have issues with my parking sensors giving audible tones only every once in a while.

I did the update OTA about a week ago on MY18. It didn’t complete the first time and I got a message saying to contact Uconnect.
Long story short, I was transferred 4 times and was told to contact my dealer. Called there, and service dept. said they were unaware of the OTA update.
Eventually my radio prompted me to update again, and then it completed.
Noticed then my phone was not connected anymore. That took awhile to get that connected again, but now is all good.
FYI, when the update completes, you will get a message box. In the upper left corner, it will say “Details”. At the bottom it will have OK. I hit OK and the box disappeared. I wish I would have touch the “Details” word, as it will list changes made. If someone knows what was updated, I’d be interested. Noticed nothing working any different BTW.

Yea. Being a typical guy I didn’t read the details either. Most of my settings remained the same. And my Bluetooth also needed to be redone.

You have to delete the UConnect Bluetooth connection from your phone before you reconnect.

Will you get an OTA update if you're not subscribed to UConnect?

Just did mine the other night, was really ******* me off! Would get to 4 of 15 units updated the start over, four times it did this until it finally completed. At first I thought I had to re-pair phone too but after awhile everything worked correctly.

Will you get an OTA update if you're not subscribed to UConnect?

I think I read somewhere it alerts you if you have SiriusXM Guardian or something.
