To be sure, best thing to do is measure it. I have a 2018 2500 8' bed cc 4x4 that fits in garages that are 7' and taller, but I have to watch signs and pipes hanging, plus if there is too much angle on the ramp it may scrape the antenna. Good luck.

Maybe if the truck has the four corner air suspension but how a regular suspension sits you'll probably rip the satellite antenna off and probably scrape the roof depending on the entry/exit angle.

In general no. Way too close to be a safe choice. My 96 2500 with the high rise canopy fit in a 7' garage door, my 2021 2500 with the same canopy needs an 8' door. The newer trucks are definitely taller.

Same exact canopy, pretty easy to see the height difference. Sad part is, new truck doesn't have any better ground clearance, just made it taller to look tough.

I miss the external antenna I had on my 4th gen 1500's. They served a secondary, lesser known purpose. They would tell you if your truck was too high for a parking garage or car wash. Like a go/no go gauge. Basically if your antenna clears your truck will clear. If it doesn't, all bets are off.

I go to 2 different multi-story parking garages at the Hospital Campus

One garage has a 6" painted Plastic pipe on 2 light weight chains.
I pulled up to it & i did not move the plastic pipe, so i drove very slowly up a few levels up to the roof & there was no scraping noises.

The other garage has that plastic pipe at 6 foot, but the pipes that run along the roofline look much higher.
So I measured the highest point on my Ram & then the Security Guard took my tape measure & remeasured the high spot on my Ram & walked into the building & measured several places & told me that there was plenty of room.
He did it for me, because every time i looked up, i had a dizzy feeling, that is one of the reasons that i go to the hospital

My Ram has the 20" wheels & the coils have the additional 1" ride height

Then i have another 4 or 5 " for my sign brackets

I have a 2021 1500 Laramie crew cab with a 6’4” bed, a bigger tire on an 18” wheel and about a 3” lift. While I haven’t had many times where my truck didn’t fit height wise, I’m careful and try to stay at about 7’, what I have issues with is how tight some of these garages are. In Seattle, where I’ll be in a week, there are garages I avoid. Turns can be single narrow lanes on both sides a there are times there isn’t enough room to get into or out of a space. I would rather put it on the street and walk.

MY 19, DT, Bighorn, stock, stock size tires, no air, sitting as bought is a lil over 77" tall at the very top of the "satellite" hump. I actually tried to get into a garage in Atlantic City and "plunked" the bar that was stretched to show height, so I definitely learned my lesson and measured to the top of the truck. I would not again try to make it in a garage that had say under an inch of clearance, as U never know how accurate the measurements are and any other things hanging down.

EDIT: SO if I see any opening under say 78" to 79" clearance, not gonna try it. I only had the truck two weeks when took trip and plunked that bar in NJ, boy was I "mad" at myself. Luckily, I did no damage (fingers crossed). That was in August 2018, FYI.

CAVEAT: Those Casino garages were built in the early 80's, way before the trucks got as big and tall as they R now stock.

WANNA have fun, try driving through narrow Bavarian Towns with Big American trucks, Hummers, M35A2's, Tanks, lots of money paid out for maneuver damage, especially during the Reforger years. Them there corners tight, LOL.

Exactly, and none of those is under 6 foot 4 inches, shorterst is 6 foot 6, unless the classics are actually quite a bit shorter.

Just got back from a weekend in downtown St Paul. Not only are parking ramp ceilings are awfully short, the entry can be awful narrow. No way would a full size truck fit. I parked on the street.

The only true way to know is to get a straight edge like a 2x4 or long piece of metal, put it on the highest point of your roof, such as the plastic antennae on the roof place a level on top of your straight edge and measure the distance from the bottom of the straight edge to the ground. I wrote my measurement on a piece of tape and stick it inside my center console to remind me of the height. My 2019 laramie 4x4 , with aftermarket 305x55x20 tires with a front level kit highest point is 6'8"

I have a 2017 Big Horn. Stock size tires, and can do those garages without issue. Stock antenna scrapes a bit, but that is higher than the roof. It is close, unnerving at first for sure.

Bigger problem is fitting into a space, and making the turns between levels in some garage. There was one in Cambridge MA that was really tight. Kissed the wall with the front bumper once. Jyust a tiny scrape in the chrome, but GRRRRRRR.

When I was making the trip into the city a lot, I bought a ****** car for the commute, to save the miles, and to get around. These trucks are not fun in city driving and parking on an everyday basis, unless you have access to a larger garage.
