Hello,

I just bought my 2013 Express CC and put an Undercover Flex tonneau cover on it. The truck has a Linex spray in liner. Instead of using the plugs, I just put the hose in the gap in the middle of the back tie downs. Is there any reason that this would be a bad place to drain water?

Thanks in advance.

I saw those drain covers but they are covered with linex and I didn't want to disturb them if this pre done hole would work the same. It also keeps the drain tubes out of the way more on the side than the front panel would. Do the holes around the tie down not drain all the way to the outside of the truck?

Thanks

OK, I think there is some confusion here. I have the cover installed correctly, the drain tubes are in the front of the bed, not at the tailgate. My CC bed has tie downs in the front of the bed and the rear near the tailgate. My tubes are in the middle of the tie downs in the front of the bed nearer the cab. I just wanted to know if anyone knew if these holes were OK to use as drain holes or will they fill the space between the outer panel and inner panel up with water. There are factory drain plugs in the front bed panel but these have been covered with linex and I didn't want to disturb them if I didn't have to.

Thanks for the help.

Sounds like you will be fine, misunderstanding by me, sorry. Yes, where you have the drains tubes will be fine. No water will hold up there, enjoy your cover. I love mine and it's been through some heavy rain storms and a few car washes.
