Upgrade Alpine Stock Stereo Volume

I can't find a thread that matches what I am after so I am starting a new one. If you know of a thread that addresses this already please point me to it.

I have a 2014 Sport with the Alpine stereo. I find myself turning it up to 38(max) a lot and it still isn't loud enough. Would new speakers get me the additional volume I am after? I think the stock speakers and subwoofer sound fine (not amazing, but good enough). Would AlphaOBD be able to unlock the radio to go to 50?

I would say adding an after market sub/amp to replace the stock sub (if the sport has one) would add more punch which may satisfy you. There are a few ways to tie one in some better then others.
Alfaobd will not add any volume.
