Hi, just wondering if it’s possible to replace my standard mirrors with power towing mirrors with blinkers and puddle lights? I know infotainment has a kit for $1300 that comes with the mirrors, modules and harnesses, but that is way too expensive for me. I figured if I sourced the parts from a wreck, I could do it myself, and just program it with AlfaOBD. Any help would be great

Yes, it's a pice of cake and about half the price. I've seen a lot of positive reviews on the Trail Ridge brand mirrors. I haven't used them personally but they are supposed to be identical to the factory unit. You can also pick them up factory mirrors on Ebay if you're patient. As far as the door modules go you will only need to replace them if you are upgrading to Power Fold mirrors. The door modules you currently have will support all the other options. If you are going for Power Fold mirrors contact Benny in the vendor section @AllMoparParts.com. he knows all about the mods we do and they have competitive prices. You can order your new door modules and switch from him. Try to stay away from cheap knock off mirrors. Others have tried them and had several issues with the blinker lights being pinned incorrectly ect. All the settings you are going to need are in the doors section of the Alfa tool. Enabling everything is a piece of cake. The Alfa tool is light years ahead of Infotainment's Genie and much cheaper.

Should be pretty easy. I replaced my standard black mirrors with color matched, turn signal and puddle light mirrors, but I didn't bother with the power fold module. I used the AlfaOBD turn to turn on both the signal and puddle lights.

Thanks guys. That’s encouraging news. Now I just need to nail down an OBDlink MX and I’m told I need a bypass cord as well.
