No worries. I understand. Can you snap a few pics of the parts when you are finished please?

Got my factor 55 fairlead in tonight. It was a rainy crappy night and of course it fought me the whole way. Had to open up the roller holes on the side an extra 1/16 and open up the holes in the fairlead 1/16 as well. Had to weasel the fairlead up from behind so the tapered front sat in the opening. The backside wouldn't fit into the slot. Turned out good all things considered, scratched the fairlead in a spot or two in my frustration...C'est La Vie

See if the dog lets me install the rest tmmrw

Installed a Factor55 Ultrahook over the weekend. Used some RTV silicone to cover the exposed synthetic rope (per Factor55's recommendation). I added the Warn pull strap back, but I'm not sure how much I like it. My wife like it's though, so it will probably stay...

Good call with the exposed rope and RTV. I love that hook. I wonder when the patent will expire so they have to come down to a reasonable price?

I see your guard dog at work keeping that $250 hook safe.

Yeah it was pricey. I caught them with the Black Friday sale so I saved a little, but not a lot. The Epic hook that came with it is basically brand new and I'm selling it, so that's a little money back also.

Yea, that strap would drive me frikin nuts. Why not stuff it in the fairlead opening before sinching the flatlink to it?

Yeah I've definitely thought about that. It takes one second to remove.

I'm leaving it like that more for looks than anything else. At the point I get tired of it, I'll take it off altogether.

Finally got my line on, gotta go out this weekend and tension it. The hook doesn't fully sit on the fairlead because of the size and where the fairlead sticks out. It rests on the bumper mostly but other than that I'm happy with itadae0e156f71f615ecbe2310648e3537.jpg2404e2fa24c76bca5e31a267b163fe0d.jpg555cd2849e2a884474ee1b65562fdf9f.jpg

I just recently started doing it bc I created a public Instagram and have been getting alot of random follower and bot followers.

I feel more comfortable on Facebook doing on the PW pages bc it's all guys in the PW community for the most part

I'm sure everyone appreciates how far off the thread now is to "prove" your point

That mod turned out great. Have you used your winch since you completed the install?

I have not, I was so busy over the holidays with family stuff and my son I didn't even get out to pre-tension it yet. I was going to go out and do it tomorrow but my boss pulled a Bill Lumbergh and is making me work tmmrw97ba7b539091e95d0d3c5ba96354808f.jpg
