Thanks man, that is correct I'm thinking of going TURBO more then a supercharger, I think it's best for drag..

Turbo is the way to go.........dont have the drag on the crank like you have to turn the supercharger.......If your really interested in doing a big build, I suggest checking out other forums for ideas such as cherokeesrt8, lxforums, modermoparforum just to get some examples of what the modern hemi is capable of doing. There are SOOOOO many different builds out the ranging from forged 5.7 to 468 with twin turbos or s/c on them. You could have the 5.7 block built into a 408 if you wanted and throw some twin 67s on there.......

This is a shop in Abu Dhabi. Not sure how close they are but they are on another site im on, cherokeesrt8, and have build a couple high HP jeeps. They should have no problem building you what you need. They usually use, PWR-Performance Werks Racing for all their modern hemi builds. Trust me, Andy at PWR knows his stuff when it comes to building and specing a modern hemi motor.
For example....I have a 06 jeep srt8 with a PWR forged 6.1, small turbo cam and a precision turbo 76mm and it put down 966hp at 20# of boost. If I was to swap out for a bigger turbo grind i should be over 1000hp. Now thats on VP Q16 race fuel and high boost tune. ran a 10.01@141 and still has some left in it. Pump gas tune at 10# boost-777hp and ran 10.76@136 right after i got it back. this is how i drive it on the street with no problems what so ever. It drives stockish till i mash it....lol. Not to mention the thing weighs in at about 5000lbs......

Kenny Bell twinscrew:waytogo:

Yes Kenne Bell. One of the best in the business. Go with he 2.8L.
Your internals will be forged already so you'll be good. Plus, the twin screw will build boost instantly. :naughty:

What kind of transmission comes in the srt8 jeeps? What did you do to yours?

Damn, so why have i never heard of someone putting one in a ram?
I thought they only came in the lx cars so i never thought about possible compatability for swaps.

Im not sure man. There was a guy on the cherokee forum that has a ram that he swapped a 426 into it. It was a 6.1 based block. Its a mint looking truck too. Ill have to see if i can find the thread.

Because getting a NAG1 to work with a standalone controller has been almost impossible, PCS has been saying they are near to releasing independent tunability for the NAG1 for about 5 years. I was looking into doing the swap when I was starting my build and everybody I talked to in the hemi world said it couldn't be done without turning my truck into a Jeep.

So even if you dumped the whole drivetrain and computer and harness from a jeep srt in a ram none of the gauges would work unless you got a jeep cluster, et cetra

I agree, after all that work it probably is cheaper and easier to blow a few 545RFEs and still come out ahead lol

Correct. The joy of having a combined PCM as opposed to the ECM and TCM that the LX/WK platforms have.

How fast are they?

There really arent any track numbers out there for them for some reason
Theres a video of an S1000 dynoing 969 rwhp but not quarter mile times for them. There is a video of one doing ~224 mph in europe

The shelby 1000 s/c uses a 4.0L supercharger and is closer to 1200 horsepower
