Hey all,

Just place my final order for upgrading my Alpine system. I will be pulling the stock sub and puting in a fox box. It will hold 2 Alpine Type -R 10inch subs (SWR-1043D). Each sub will be run by it's own Alpine MRP-M500 @ 500w rms. The feed will come from an Audio Control LC2i, from the old sub connection and split to the 2 amps.

I'm so stoked I can't wait. Will post install and finished pics soon!

Cool. I don't enjoy my oem alpine system very much. I mean it OK but that's about it.

I agree I feel the infinity is far better stock. This is the first time I have had a vehicle without Infinity or Bose as the premium sound. The other two were just far better. I don't know why dodge has had so many options last few years. I have Boston, Kicker, Alpine, Infinity and of course non branded OEM.

I actually think the stock alpine system isn't to bad but it is lacking for sure. I think the subs will make a ton of difference with that. I was thinking of doing the 6x9's as well and like the looks of these, Alpine SPR-69 6" x 9" Coaxial Speakers but it says they wont fit? Any ideas why? I may try to buy locally for easy return if needed.

The only things left then will be the 3 1/2's up front but it doesn't look like alpine has anything. Also I want to open up the top speakers to see whats in there. I might replace them all with tweeters and just be done with it.

I too wonder about these Alpine 6x9's from what I can tell their mounting depth would work, I wonder how they sound.

So i have my Amp's, Sub's, LOC in! Will get pic's asap. Just waiting for the fox box now :( Any one know how long they take to ship? It has been siting at processing for over a week now. I emailed them but no reply.

Anyhow after looking at the amps and placement I have decided to mount them, the LOC and the Capacitor to the back wall behind the rear seats. Is there a guide to remove the rear seat back anywhere?

Gettin Stoked! Can't wait to hear some good Bass again!

Sorry for the double post.

Well I finally got a tracking number for my box yesterday so I started my install today. My plan was to install a piece of MDF and wrap it in carpet then install on that, however I don't think there would have been enough room. So I ended up mounting on to the carpet that was there and screwing in to parts of the sub body when needed.

Well as promised here are a few pic's to get started. Sorry they are crappy cell phone pic's. I hope to have the finished , and better, ones with in a week :D

Thanks.

2 questions,
1- does the carpet have to pulled out for the fox box to go in.
2- does it matter which battery I hook up to on my diesel?

Thanks!
