I’m at the end of my Audiocontrol D-4.800 amp for my 2015 sport regular cab with premium alpine system. I’m using high input signal from the harness coming out of the stock amp right above the parking brake. My goal is to run an active 2-way using door speakers and dash speakers.

So far I have all my inputs wired and door speaker and sub outputs wired. Signal is fine, subs sound awesome, and door speakers work too. Issue stems when I connect dash speaker outputs to the amp. Pops and thumps and amp goes into protect and gives a “DC offset” protection light.

The amp only goes into protect when I keep the left dash speaker wired. If I disconnect the positive lead (2nd from the left) of the left dash speaker, the right one plays fine and the system doesn’t **** itself. I’ve made sure there’s no shorts and wires are distanced from power wire just in case too. Is there something special about the left dash speaker that is causing me trouble? And how could I fix this final hurdle. Thanks.

Shrimp-Tacos, did you figure out your issue? I'm about to install 2 AudioControl amps( D6.1200&L-1800) using the PAC AMPPro adapter. I spoke with AudioControl customer support last week, and they are beneficial when you hit that roadblock. Check the wiring of your speakers, ensuring the impedance isn't too low for the amp.
