Has anyone ever seen the painted upper bumper trim have a gap underneath. I can fit my hand in between it and bumper on driverside. Not sure if it is a manufactured tolerance or defect. Debating on if I should go to stealership and mention before my few months of bumper to bumper warranty ends. Had the truck three years now and never really noticed it.

Paint, trim and alignment is only covered under 12 months/12k miles. Not everything is 3/36. Or it was the last time I looked.

Not faulting you...or accusing you of anything....But, if I were a service manager at a dealer and was presented this by a customer **2 1/2 years** after they bought the truck, I'd be like, "And he's just noticing this???" I'd then look for a way of denying the warranty repair. I'm sure you did just notice it....But in many cases, that's a line used by people who just damaged it, so they just noticed it. :hidesbehindsofa:

I understand but it never hurts to ask. All they can say is yes or no in the end.

I've got a 22 Walock and they replaced the bumper when it was new . The new installed bumper is crooked and have been told after the 4th trip to get it fixed that's how they are . Some fit, some don't , I'm calling bullsh@t because if that's the case why didn't they tell me right away. So either no one looked at it or they don't want to be bothered , annoies the hell out of me . Nice truck crappy radio and a crooked bumper , life goes on.

They were not referring to the out of alignment bumper area when they said
'after the 4th trip to get it fixed that's how they are '.
they were referring to themselves

After doing more research found someone with a similar problem and a few pictures. First pic is mine with my hand coming in driver side under bumper cover valence. I can fit my hand between the bumper cover valence and chrome bumper itself on driver side. Bumper itself is straight.

I have a similar issue on my 19.. pass side has a bigger gap than driver.. but when I park the truck 100% level, and take a level to it, the bumper is level.. checked my coworkers 19, and he has the same issue, just not as bad as mine ... I'm just too lazy right now to try and mess around with it.

Yep, just loosen the bumper and push up on that side or lower the other side - yes there's that much play going up and down.
I had to do mine.

I tried that and it didn’t have any play on either side. Its the top plastic trim part that doesn’t fit correctly even after adjusting it. Gonna learn to live with it. They tried telling me my bumper was off center lol. Its fine.
