My 02 4.7 has been at dealer for a month. They can't solve issue.
New motor, 35k miles. Light came on, p1391 code.
Ran fine.
Changed cam sensor ran like crap.
Put old back in ran fine.
Changed cam and crank sensors ran like crap. Tried putting old back in trick but now ran like garbage no matter what.
So brought to dealer.
They checked everything. Everything.
Sensors good.
Wiring and harness all good. Even grounds.
Fuel good.
Timing good.
Tone rings appear good.
At a loss. They gave up.
Said maybe, maybe pcm even though at surface seems ok. But to know for sure would mean replacing it with no guarantee and it's obviously an expensive crapshoot. Reaching for straws here.
Don't know what else to do.
Need truck for work and dont really want to buy a new truck unless absolutely no other choice.
Even after reflashes and resets only code its showing is the p1391.
Any last ditch help would be appreciated before I send it to the big parking lot in the sky.
