Help! New to forum.
I have 2 Dodge Ram 2500 pickups with each having the V-10 with automatic and 4 WD ---- a 1995 and a 1999. They are identically equipped down to the color combo.
The V-10 in the 1999 has developed a rod knock. The 1995 has significant body damage. Will the 1995 Dodge Ram V-10 engine and trans swap directly into the 1999 ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Are you sure its a rod? My V10 had what sounded like a rod knock and no power. Turned out it was the in tank fuel pump. Dealer said it was a rod. Took an independent truck shop to diagnose, which he did right off when describing the symptoms.

Yes. If they are both 4wd and both automatic...direct swap.

The 99 is slightly mire powerful than the 95...otherwise it is the same
