I have the vararam, i havent noticed alot of difference to be honest, im just told its supposed to be better haha. it looks cool and frees up space where the stock airbox is if you want to put something else in there like a second battery or something.
ive gone through good amounts of mud and ive never seen mud in there. just a few bugs sitting around it haha
painted up she looks pretty cool

Also, 4x4Hemi, try taking the intake off and going back to stock...then let us know if you feel the difference. It is easy to get "used" to the extra power, and you dont realize it until it is gone. I have seen trucks drop between .2 and .4 off their 1/4 mile times with just the Vararam as their only mod. Those kind of gains are very hard to come by with just an intake.
honestly i never did notice much difference, i put on bigger tires too soon after the intake switch to get some consistent calculations :/, sorrydo you notice better fuel economy?

We are only 30 minutes from Vararam's shop, and I have spoken to them directly about the mud pics. That is the only case they have seen with anything like that, and they even made a new longer coupler and some other water/mud deterents for that member's truck. He now has a custom 1 off Vararam that should allow him to blast through the swamp without any trouble. It is not something that the everyday driver should be concerned with though as that is the only case of that happening.
already removed the stock airbox mountbut i can see that you could start just getting used to it. the truck sure pulls at higher speeds, i know that for sure. i find it really excells when your going like 50mph+, could just be me though hahaQUOTE]
I get this alot from the guys that upgrade from the 85mm to the 87mm throttle bodies. They dont realize just how much of a difference the part makes until they have to throw the stock one back on.
