What does the system cost and are the filters available at auto parts stores/only available from Vararam or are they reusable like the K&N?

We currently have the Vararam kits for only $344 with free shipping. The filters are reusable as well, so there is no need to buy extra filters. We can also throw in a cleaning kit for only $10 if purchased with the Vararam kit. Just shoot me a PM or feel free to give us a call if you would like to add the cleaning kit with the intake. 214-789-1110.

Man, these look really good. I love the orange color. I have been looking at these for a few weeks now and this is more for the guys who have them already....there is absolutely zero chance that water can enter the filter, right? It seems that if you are driving in a rain storm, that water can enter the filter. I know I have to be missing something. Thanks

Unless you hit a deep hole at speed, you wont get enough water in there to hurt your motor. During a heavy rain, you might get a few drops of water in the filter tray, but not more than the engine will burn off under normal driving. Vararam has sold almost a thousand of these kits, and have yet to have a customer lock up their motor due to sucking in water. You are good to go there. Just use some common sense if driving offroad as all aftermarket intakes are more likely to suck in water if you drive through water too deep or too fast.

MATT! I wish I knew about that cleaning kit for $10 when I bought it. I still have my k&n filter kit, will that work? Can I add the cleaning kit when I buy my catch can from you?

Rain water would have to go thru the grill and then UP into the CAI tray.. Highly unlikely. Remember, all the old school muscles with the actual hood vents feeding ram air and they never had an issue.

I have had homemade and K&N CAI all my life on almost every kind of car imaginable and I can honestly say I have never felt a power difference like I have with this one. Now if Diablosport would get off their asses and pump out the software for the '13s......

Exhaust note: I would put the beautiful music that this has with stock pipes and a Flowmaster Delta 40 with this Vararam against ANY 4th gen I have heard yet. Sweet sweet music

Works on any 4 gen ram hood? Doesn't have to be the big raised up looking sport hood?

Anyone know if it will work with the sport hood? I've seen a few people with concerns over the seal, but no real answers.

Thanks for the advice about the water issue. I think the best part about this set up is how it kind of brings an old school "muscle" look to the truck. When you pop that hood, I am sure people are pretty impressed because it looks so different than anything newer cars come with now a days. Gotta start putting some money away now for one.

Have you noticed any increase in gas mileage?

My first 1000 miles stock I got a consistent 20 on hwy and 17 average tank.

My 2nd 1000 miles with this I get consistant 22 hwy and 18.1 average tank

17mpg highway (67 mph) pulling my 17' aluminum boat

Shipping costs as much as the cleaning kit, so remind me on your next order, and I will throw a cleaner kit in there for you as well ;)

The K&N cleaner will work as well, but it will turn the filter red. You need the clear oil to keep the filter looking white/grey.
