All I can vouch for is me, the inside of my vararam is clean as is my throttle body. Can't prove it any other way. I've been a mechanic for the past 40+ years and have no desire to hurt my engine so my word is all I have. Nothing scientific which is what I think you're looking for.does the fact that these "breathe easier" mean these are probably not as effective at filtering the air? Wouldn't particulates that would normally captured by a standard air filters flying into the air intake have a negative impact on the life of the engine?

You may be right, I don't live in the desert so I can't give an opinion on that.I think environment probably has a lot to do with it. I'm sure a daily commuter would be cleaner than one that was constantly breathing gravel road dust. I live in the dessert and dust is a HUGE problem out here. It gets everywhere! This product might not be practical for me in my environment.
It looks like in the videos ive seen for the install is that you are removing the breather hose that a catch can would be installed on? With the Vararam your replacing that same hose with a breather filter. Unless I'm wrong? It will sit at an angle. I would also keep the catch can. Matt at Moe's has an excellent u-tube on the proper installation of the Vararam--worth the watch.

I got a cold air intake, throttle body spacer, and a Jet Chip Power Control Module | Stage 1, on my PCM, and a lot of other stuff in it, and no engine light and no tune runs well.
I read the same thing with modern cars hat they dont make a difference. Love to know because I want to make some performance improvements for towing.I read somewhere on here that throttle body spacers were just paperweights. Would love to know if you noticed any performance increase after the install. Seems like an easy way to unleash some ponies or some bucks.
IDK about that all I know with all the installation I did, I gained around 120 hrs.I read somewhere on here that throttle body spacers were just paperweights. Would love to know if you noticed any performance increase after the install. Seems like an easy way to unleash some ponies or some bucks.

I can't say it gained anything when I installed mine but it sure does sound better. You can hear the air being sucked in which I like. Almost like a turbo sound.I read somewhere on here that throttle body spacers were just paperweights. Would love to know if you noticed any performance increase after the install. Sorry, should be 120hp and many hrs.
No man 6 mods.woah dude... So you got 120hp from just 3 mods?
1.) Throttle body Spacer,
2.) Cold Air Intake and
3.) Long tube Headers?
Is that at the wheels? How did you verify that you got that much? I want more 120hp!
What 6 mods did you make?No man 6 mods.
I had it the truck dyno'd.No man 6 mods.
