No matter what volume I have the radio set to when my phone rings through the HU it is at a very loud volume, almost painful. I have tried to find a control for it but have failed to date, anyone out there who can help with this?

Let me know if you can solve this. I've got the same problem.

I went to the dealer today and they said if you are listening to the radio and you get a phone call, if you turn down the volume on the phone call down to a comfortable level, when the phone call is over and you hang up the system is supposed to return your radio to the previous volume. Then the next time you get a phone call the system is supposed to remember the setting you turned it down to and automatically set the phone call volume level to that lower setting previously used.

So, if I'm listening to the radio at a volume setting of 15 and I get a phone call, I turn the volume of the phone call down. When the phone call is over, the radio volume is supposed to return to 15. And the next time I get a phone call the system automatically turns the phone volume down to that comfortable level again.

This doesn't work for me. Not on phone calls, not when the UConnect voice notifies of texts received, not when using Android Auto and navigation. BTW, when I get a phone call or am interacting with the UConnect system and the woman's voice is speaking, a comfortable volume setting for me is 1. Not kidding. One. That's how blaring loud the voice is.

There are essentially 2 volume controls, one for the radio and one for the Bluetooth. You need to turn it down (via the regular volume dial) WHEN the phone is on active call.
Right. But I have to turn it down to 1. Then turn it back up to hear the radio.

I think there is a volume adjustment in the phone settings on the radio

I have waited until my phone rings and turned down the volume on the radio to an acceptable level. I then check it with another phone and the ring volume remains where I had set it for a couple of days and then seems to default back to the very loud ring. I've tried this 7-8 times over a few months and it continues to default back to loud.

Whenever I experience an electrical gremlin with any vehicle or electrical device, I will disconnect power to that device.

try...

Hold the volume button and selector button down together for 10 seconds to reboot the radio, check if fixed, if not proceed...

Go into the settings menu on radio and do a reset to factory defaults, check if fixed, if not proceed...

Disconnect your battery late at night before you go to bed, reconnect battery in the morning and 99% of the time, your issue WILL be fixed.

Please give it a try...

I got nuttin'... Mine was the same way when I first got the truck (7/17), but when I lowered the volume with the knob as it was ringing, it stayed that way.

Have any of you with this problem tried turning the ring / notification volume down on the phone? Not on the phone setting of the truck, but the phone itself. On Android go into settings / sound / ring volume. You can also adjust the call volume this way, not just the ring and notifications. I don't know how to do this on an iphone, but it should be similar. I know that has worked for others on this forum.
