I bought a 2021 limited with a 5.7 eTorque....the prior owner installed a vitesse throttle control. Never used one, cant seem to see much difference. Gas mileage sucks at around 14mpg 9which I thought the eTorque would do better). I'm not really an aggressive driver and the truck has no load yet.

How can I improve fuel economy and is the Vitesse worth keeping?

I ran a Vitesse on a 2020 Laramie I used to own. It worked fine and honestly didn't notice any difference between that and a Pedal Commander I had on another truck. In case you aren't sure what they do, they change the speed that the throttle plate opens. There is normally a controller attached that the user can use to change how aggressive it works. Just make sure you don't change settings unless your foot is off the accelerator pedal. They are not really meant to improve fuel economy, although they may be advertised to potentially improve that. 14 mpg is about 2 mpg less than we see on our 2020 Limited.

How many miles are on your truck? Are you running stock tire size? Are you running 10 ply AT tires? Is your truck lifted or leveled? Have you verified you are running the correct tire pressures? All of these will affect fuel economy.

Finally, you might consider updating your information. You are asking about a 2021 1500 not a 2014...

View attachment 558801good to know about having foot off throttle to adjust...didn't realize
The truck has 45K on it...when I got it, it had 22's and I changed those immediately. That did help but still around 14.5mpg. its got air suspension so it adjusts to driving condition.

If you're looking for best mpg get rid of the throttle booster.

Like @mikeru asked are the tires the oem size? What brand/info on them would be helpful as tires can make a big impact on mpg.
