so I am noticing that a lot of the low-middle class double dins either have 4v, or 8 eq bands, but that few have both, and the ones that do are much more $$$. More commonly its usually one of either 4v or 8 bands, paired with one of either 2v or 3 bands, sometimes even 2 bands. I was wondering if you audiophiles could explain which one you think is more important for which kind of system?

Then maybe if the discussion is in depth enough, maybe we could sticky this for people to learn from in the future?

Thanks!

Depends on your needs. I have a double din that has 2v preouts and Im perfectly happy with it. Mine has a 3 band parametric equalizer as well that lets me shape the sound pretty well, although its a little difficult to use until you figure it out

so 4v is basically just preferable in a audiophile setup?
