2022 , 2500 tradesman HD. Long bed 6.4 Hemi. 2000mi. Constantly correcting steering. Crosswind is worse. It just kind of wanders. Has hydraulic steering. My 1500 had electric steering,, spot on. Any other new truckers have this problem?

You've also changed from independent from suspension to a solid front axle. The suspension and tires on the HD also doesn't dampen the road as much which can also add to a wandering feeling. Load a 1000 lbs in the bed and see if the handling and ride feel better.
If this is your daily driver and your loading anything, drop the air pressure in the front and rear tires.

Also the ram track bar is notorious for being bad. But what tires do you have?

All factory stock

I do know if your coming from a 1500 it will drive a lot different. I just replace the steering damper on my 3500 and the oem one just fell out when I unbolted it. It was not under any compression which was weird. You can add a steering box brace, track bar and steering damper and it will drive like a whole new truck again. I just switched all mine out. For what is happening to you idk since you only have 2k miles. I am at 2500 and Just switched the parts just cause.

Fox adjustable steering damper one of the best upgrades I’ve made to my 2019 PW. It has 25 positions, I keep it on 15. Steering is almost as tight as my old mustang GT. No wandering or constant corrections. $450 so a bit spendy. I have Thuren and Fox all the way around with 34x11.5 Toyo MT’s…

I went from a 1500 to a 3500 in 2016, and that’s the first thing I noticed. I got use to it, it’s the way it is. I’ve had three 3500’s now and they’ve all been the same, not as tight as a 1500, with the different steering set up.

Lower tire pressure.

On the stock Transforce tires, I had them at 72 all around and it would wander like crazy.

Switched those out for some beefy all terrains and went down to 50psi all around. Less wandering now and a way better ride.
