Ok so Im super torn about wether to lower my truck or raise it. I have the funds to go either way but Im extremely torn on which way to go.

So here is what I have come up with Im going to post on this thread to ask the process the pros and the cons of raising the truck.

so here is the set up i am on right now.
2008 quad cab st. 6.5 foot bed, running on 20" stock five spoke rims, brushed metal on a street tire.

if i go high, i dont want huge, maybe 2-4 inches tops, moto metal or iron star rim set up blacked out, on a semi aggressive tire.

need to know how to do this for the best appeal, but will probbly never go off road in it.

lift it, but if you dont go with a big lift right away you may regret it. Many people lift and want to go higher and higher.

Jack it up. But I second what ol'red said, look at lots and lots of truck with lift kits before you lift it so you know what you really ant because you will most likely want to jack it up even higher. Although throwing a 3 inch body lift on it afterwards isn't really too hard.

is it a 4x4? if so I would go up. 2wd id go down. I used to own a bodydropped Toyota tundra on bags. now im into the lifted thing. I like both styles. I lifted my 08 1500 6' with a zone kit if it wasn't a 1500 id def do 8' but for the 1500 6 is safe.

I was in the same predicament as you. Ended up doing a Performance Accessories 3" body lift with Bilstein adjustable shocks up front. Gave me a total of 5.1" of lift up front and 3" in the back. Plus the extra 1" for 35s. Mine is also a pavement princess, so the inexpensive cosmetics of a body lift worked for me. More than half the price of a suspension lift.
